The mission of Pax Communications is to advise, assist and empower non-profit organizations to advance human rights through strategic and effective communications. Our goal is to serve as a bridge between organizations and their audiences to help solve human rights problems.
A common perception of public relations and marketing communications is that the goal is to “pitch” a story idea to a journalist or “sell” a campaign to the public.
At Pax, we do not believe in pitching or selling anyone. We believe that successful media relations involve building relationships with the right journalists and providing those journalists with newsworthy information and interview sources. Similarly, successful advocacy campaigns must engage and empower people rather than add one more irrelevant email to their junk mail folder.
Today, as traditional media reinvents itself and new media flourishes, there are more opportunities than ever to partner with like-minded journalists, bloggers and activists. Together we can amplify the power of the voices calling for positive social change.
